Jordan Reed gets special orthotics for cleat
12 August 2017
Jordan Reed (toe) had a special orthotics made for his left cleat.
Dealing with a toe injury since last year, Reed will try out the new footwear for the next couple of days to see if it helps. Coach Jay Gruden said the team will reevaluate the situation after their second preseason game next weekend, strongly suggesting Reed will be sidelined until at least then. It remains likely the tight end is back on the field before Week 1, but this issue along with his injury history makes Reed a risky investment in the fifth round.
