Giants LT Andrew Thomas had ankle surgery on Wednesday.

Thomas is in a cast, but The Athletic's Dan Duggan reports he'll be ready for the Giants' offseason program. Selected with the fourth overall pick, Thomas struggled as a rookie, possibly because of the ankle pain this surgery was cleaning up. The Giants need Thomas to take a second-year leap to get back into the playoffs.
