Ronald Jones rushed 12 times for 61 yards in the Bucs' Super Bowl win over the Chiefs.

RoJo was the clear No. 2 back behind Leonard Fournette, but still saw heavy usage in a game where the Bucs dominated on the ground. Built up as the Bucs? starter all offseason, RoJo got a reality check when Fournette was signed 11 days before the opener. Jones won the Week 1 touch battle 19-6, but Fournette went ahead 16-9 Week 2. That set the stage for a season-long seesaw where neither back emerged fully victorious, but Jones did win the touch war 220-123. Although he was strangely unproductive as a pass catcher, Jones took another step forward as a runner, getting his YPC above 5.0 behind the Bucs? excellent line while notching six carries of 20-plus yards. He was a middle of the road 20th in Pro Football Focus? ?elusive rating,? which measures running back production independent of blocking. Six months shy of his 24th birthday, Jones will head into the final year of his rookie deal locked into at least a 1B role in the Bucs? backfield.
