The move comes after the Broncos signed free agent OTs Cameron Fleming and Bobby Massie. James was set to spend most of 2021 on the NFI list after tearing his Achilles working out away from the team earlier this month. The Broncos plan to void his $10 million salary and recoup his signing bonus, which James? camp is expected to fight. 28-year-old James, who opted out of 2020 due to COVID, is a long shot to return this season.
