Robinson's full ruling was a suspension for the first six games of the season, no additional fine, and requirements that Watson shall not receive massages other than directed by club personnel and shall not have adverse involvement with law enforcement. The NFLPA and Watson announced Sunday that they would not appeal the decision, likely aware at the time that the suspension would be shorter than some had anticipated. Given the way his contract was structured, the suspension will cost Watson $333,333. The NFL, which had reportedly sought an indefinite suspension of at least one year, has three days to appeal. Goodell can serve as the appeals officer and has the authority to increase the punishment. The saga is still not over.
