49ers DE Arik Armstead exited Week 4 against the Rams with a foot injury and will not return.

Armstead came into this one questionable with a foot issue, and it sounds like he aggravated it. The 49ers haven't needed Armstead against the Rams' Swiss-cheese offensive line.
