Tua Tagovailoa completed 12-of-23 passes for 157 yards in the Dolphins’ 21-17, Week 13 win over the Saints.

Tagovailoa struggled with down-to-down accuracy for the better part of four quarters in this game, as evidenced by his 52 percent completion rate. Tua could have found the end zone once today, but he threw a short pass at De’Von Achane’s head instead of leading him for a leisurely walk into the end zone. Per usual, he also forced the ball into Jaylen Waddle’s hands, even win his top wideout wasn’t open. Tua’s only interception of the day came on a deep shot to Waddle near the end zone. A Saints safety sitting over top broke on the ball for an easy interception. Tagovailoa nearly had a second interception while forcing the ball to Waddle on a short toss, but the ball hit the ground as a Saints defender attempted to bring it in. The Dolphins are now riding a three-game win streak into Week 14, but Tua has to play better if Miami is going to stay hot. He will be a low-end QB2 next week versus the Jets.
