ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Colts have “made it clear” to Alec Pierce that he will be a Colt, either through a tag or a long-term deal.

At this rate, we’d be a little surprised if the Colts didn’t franchise tag Pierce. He’s clearly the second-best receiver on the market. Even if they decided they couldn’t afford him, they’d likely be able to get something in a trade for the 25-year-old budding star receiver. Pierce would almost undoubtedly clear $25 million a year on the open market, and might reach even higher than that if he sparks a bidding war.
