NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports the Giants will release LB Bobby Okereke.

04 March 2026

Okereke was set to enter the last year of a four-year deal he signed in 2023. Initially drafted in the third round by the Colts, Okereke joined the Giants after four seasons and started all 46 games he played with the team. He tallied 385 combined tackles and four interceptions over three seasons as the Giants’ defensive captain, though his play declined with a 56.3 PFF grade in 2025, good for No. 56 among linebackers. The Giants will save $9 million in cap space by cutting Okereke, who will get a head start on free agency with the new league year on the horizon.
