Browns agreed to terms with OG Zion Johnson, formerly of the Chargers, on a three-year, $49.5 million contract.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the deal includes $32.4 million guaranteed. The No. 17 overall pick of the 2022 Draft, Johnson didn’t have a particularly great Chargers career, but it was a healthy one. He rarely missed a snap as he appeared in 66-of-68 regular season contests. The team experimented with him at center last offseason, but he ultimately remained at guard. We doubt new Browns head coach Todd Monken is going to find untapped potential missed by Jim Harbaugh, but Johnson is at least highly experienced as he heads into his prime.
