Falcons released QB Kirk Cousins.

Cousins doesn’t really appear to be in demand anywhere at the time of his release, though he has been bandied about as a backup plan in both Minnesota and Pittsburgh over the past few months as well as a potential veteran addition in front of Fernando Mendoza in Las Vegas. Entering what would be his age-38 season, it’s hard to find an obvious landing spot where he would both start and help rather than hold back the future. It’s possible he could pick up backup work somewhere, but we’ll believe it when we see it.
