49ers EDGE Bryce Huff has announced his retirement after six seasons.
12 March 2026
A 2020 UDFA, Huff worked his way into becoming a part-time starter for each of the Jets, Eagles and 49ers. He dealt with injury issues, though they tended to be minor. He reached double-digit sacks for the 2023 Jets, but was limited to 6.5 over 27 total games over the past two seasons. Still only 28 in April, Huff probably could have carved out another year or two as a rotational pass rusher but has evidently decided to quit while he was ahead on the injury front.
