NFL owners are scheduled to vote on a Raiders succession plan giving Silver Lake co-CEO Egon Durban “the option to purchase a majority stake in the team from longtime owner Mark Davis.”

Per ESPN’s Seth Wickersham, sources indicate that Davis says he does not currently intend to sell his majority stake. The vote would only give Durban the option to buy a majority stake from Davis if Davis were to sell. Should that scenario play out, NFL owners would still need to approve Durban as the new controlling owner. Four sources also say that NFL owners “will also vote on Davis selling roughly 7% of the team to Durban and another limited partner, Michael Meldman.” If it passes, the sale would put the Raiders’ valuation at nearly $10 billion. The votes will take place at the annual league meeting, which starts on March 29th.
