Brandon Aubrey said he wants to sign a contract extension with the Cowboys and that “something will happen eventually.”
20 March 2026
The Cowboys placed a second-round tender on Aubrey that would pay him $5.76 million in 2026 after unsuccessfully attempting to negotiate a long-term deal. That said, the two sides can still agree to an extension. The Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins previously reported that the Cowboys offered Aubrey an extension averaging just under $7 million per season and that Aubrey was asking for nearly $10 million per season. Aubrey disagrees, saying he did not receive the offer that the public thinks he received, though he refrained from sharing numbers. It sounds like Aubrey believes that the two sides will eventually come to a long-term agreement. We sure hope this is the case. Aubrey’s 187.6 fantasy points from last season rank third at the position.
