ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes Alabama QB Ty Simpson will be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Speaking on the Pat McAfee show, Schefter reinforced his belief, saying, “talking to front offices, that’s what I believe,” regarding Simpson going in the first round. Simpson’s draft stock seems to have received a nice boost in recent months, and with several QB-needy teams in the league, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Alabama signal-caller land in the first round when all is said and done. Simpson threw for 3,567-28-5 in his lone season as Alabama’s starter while completing 64.5 percent of his passes while leading the SEC in both completions and pass attempts.
