Evans exited in the second quarter of the 49ers’ Week 3 game against the Cardinals after taking a hard hit to the torso. The veteran entered the day questionable with a hip injury but played and had a productive day before leaving.
Evans caught three passes for 34 yards and a touchdown at the time of his departure, pitching one of his catches to Deebo Samuel for a hook-and-ladder touchdown. The team ruled Evans out after halftime with a rib injury.
