C.J. Stroud completed 24-of-34 passes for 312 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in Houston’s 34-31, Week 6 win over the Jaguars.

The Texans running game was mostly abandoned until the fourth quarter, leaving Stroud to wail on an overmatched Jaguars secondary. His best throw was probably on Houston’s final possession of the first half, as he dotted a 50-yard throw with a defender in his face to Jaylin Noel, eventually setting up (checking notes) Foster Moreau’s second touchdown of the day. Stroud has now thrown for six touchdowns and gone over 260 yards in each of his last three games; he’s suddenly in the high-end QB2 competition with bye weeks hitting as the Texans host the Giants in Week 7.
