49ers placed Christian Kirk (knee) on injured reserve.

08 November 2026

Kirk missed the start of the year with a calf issue and immediately injured his knee in Week 7. The 49ers have already burned several injured reserve return designations this year, including one on Kirk himself. He could ultimately be stuck on IR for the remainder of the year, even if he’s not dealing with a catastrophic knee injury.
