Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said "we have to get better up front with pass protection" in 2021.

09 February 2021

DeCosta harped on improving the offensive line as a way to upgrade Baltimore's struggling passing attack. "The offensive line, in general, really battled versus some adversity this year. But pass protection is going to be a factor," he said when asked how the team can improve its passing offense. Baltimore's offensive line -- which lost All-Pro left tackle Ronnie Stanley to an ankle injury in Week 8 -- was ranked No. 16 by Pro Football Focus in 2020 after ranking as PFF's No. 2 unit in 2019. The Ravens offensive line committed the third most penalties in the NFL in 2020, allowing a 37 percent pressure rate on Lamar Jackson -- eighth highest in the league among QBs who took at least half their team's snaps. ESPN's Jamison Hensley pointed to Joe Thuney, who received the Patriots' franchise tag last year, as a potential free agency add for Baltimore. The team could also consider adding a difference-making wideout like Allen Robinson or Kenny Golladay.
