ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Cowboys fear WR James Washington suffered a Jones fracture in training camp.

Though the injury isn't season-ending, Jones fractures are infamous for sidelining receivers longer than expected. If Schefter is right, the Cowboys will new to come up with a new plan for their third receiver spot early in the year. With Michael Gallup expected to miss some time, Jalen Tolbert, a third-round rookie, is likely locked into a starting role for Week 1. Noah Brown has been with the team since 2017, giving him the best shot at the final starting spot. However, it's more likely that the Cowboys scour the free agent pool for their WR3 opening. T.Y. Hilton and Will Fuller stand out as the best options available.
