Broncos beat writer Mike Klis reports Tim Patrick suffered a torn ACL in Tuesday's practice.

The worst was confirmed on Tuesday evening after it was reported earlier in the day that Patrick had been carted off the field with an apparent knee injury. Patrick reportedly twisted his leg on his way down from a leaping catch and was removed from the field shortly after. Last season, Patrick totaled 53 receptions for 734 yards and five touchdowns, serving as the team's third receiver for much of the season. A former UDFA out of Utah, Patrick's 2022 now comes to a disappointing end, with third-year receiver KJ Hamler now looking at an expanded role. Hamler is a boom-or-bust WR4 as it stands right now, but could turn into a fantasy value throughout the season.
