Kendrick Bourne caught 2-of-3 passes for 36 yards in the Patriots’ Week 4 loss to the Cowboys.

Bournes’ best play came on a 20-yard reception when Mac Jones rolled to his right only to throw across the field to his left side to find Bourne for a gain. It was an ill-advised play that drew the criticism of the broadcast crew, who were all the more critical of Jones when he tried the same thing again just a few plays later, only to see the ball intercepted. Bourne got off to a hot start for the Patriots in Week 1 but is averaging just 37 yards per game over the last three weeks. There’s no reason to start him in Week 5 against the Saints.
