NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports Jalen Hurts “underwent X-rays that showed no fracture in the middle finger on his throwing hand.”

08 January 2024

This is good news for Hurts, who will likely be playing through some discomfort in the NFC wild-card game against the Buccaneers next Monday night. Hurts suffered a dislocated finger in Sunday’s loss to the Giants and was ultimately pulled from the game in favor of Marcus Mariota. Sitting on an 11-6 record, the Eagles have flailed as of late. Their defense finished the season ranked 30th in points allowed, and played a key role in the team dropping five of their last six games to close out the season. Hurts will almost certainly start Monday’s contest against the Buccaneers, but the Eagles could very well be one-and-done in the playoffs, given how the last month has unfolded.
