Peyton Manning told Denver Sports 104.3 radio that the Broncos are “very interested” in Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

Manning, a former Super Bowl champion with the Broncos, explained the Broncos’ interest in McCarthy. He said, “I know Denver is very interested in him and it sounded like a place he’d love to come to but it’s a little bit out of his control.” The Broncos currently hold pick No. 12 in the NFL Draft and would likely need to trade up to select McCarthy with growing interest in the 21-year-old prospect at the top of the draft. Denver recently acquired Zach Wilson at quarterback, but that shouldn’t stop them from being aggressive in a trade up if the team likes McCarthy.
