George Pickens caught 4-of-5 targets for 74 yards in the Steelers’ Week 8 win over the Giants.

29 October 2024

Russell Wilson connected with Pickens on the team’s first drive for an 11-yard touchdown, which was called back for an offensive face mask penalty. Later in the first half, Pickens appeared to catch a nine-yard touchdown in the back of the end zone but review would overturn the score after it was revealed he did not get his second foot down before landing out of bounds. The highlight of the game for the electric alpha wide receiver came on a 43-yard reception down the left sideline on a dime by Wilson in the fourth quarter, setting up a field goal to push the Steelers’ lead to 11 points. It should come as no surprise that Pickens’ weekly ceiling is much greater with Wilson under center, and the two will have ample time to increase their on-field connection as they head to their bye week.
