Giants’ HC Brian Daboll said Tyrone Tracy will wear a non-contact jersey in Thursday’s practice and that he’s on track to clear the league’s concussion protocol before Sunday’s Week 9 game against the Commanders.

Tracy is moving through the league’s concussion protocol in short order. While it’s not often a player clears concussion protocol in the same week they were concussed, a less severe brain injury — if there is such a thing — could result in Tracy getting cleared in time for Week 9. The rookie is coming off an impressive 145-yard rushing performance against a stout Steelers defense and could be in for a solid day against the Commanders if he’s cleared for this week.
