Spears suffered a concussion in the second half of Tennessee’s Week 11 loss to the Vikings and did not return. Head coach Brian Callahan later told reporters he is in the league’s concussion protocol. A DNP to open the week makes him a long-shot to suit up on Sunday. Tony Pollard will climb the RB2 ladder once Spears is officially ruled out.
